This notgeld is the 4th denomination of a 3-piece set, issued by the city of Forst (Lausitz). Forst is part of the historical region Lusatia (Lausitz). Which was was awarded to Kingdom of Prussia, during the Congress of Vienna (1815). This particular denomination features the Ostdeutscher Rosengarten or East German Rose Garden.
The garden was created in 1913, to commemorate the 25th year of Kaiser Wilhelm II rule. The garden complex covers 17 hectares, features 10,000s of rose, of 1,000 types. The garden held a rose cutting show, just prior to outbreak of the Great War, on 28th July 1914. It was until the garden's 10th anniversary in 1923, that new shows resumed. (To pay tribute to the garden, this note will be reviewed reverse first.)
Reverse
The center of the reverse features an illustration of a fountain at the Rosengarten. Notably the roses in the art are highlighted in red ink, making them noticeable. Below is a saying describing garden's curators and admirers. It reads, "(w)e love flowers and the scent of roses, (w)e hate mucking around like indoor air".
The title above the main art simply reads, "East German Rose Garden Forst". To the right and left of the illustration, a stylized roses. These roses appear in the style of woodcuts. Each rose feature a letter at it's base, H (left) and S (right) respectively. These letters are a reference to artist Heinz Scheistl.
Below each rose is a number "50" on a red background. A reference to the note's 50 Pfennig value.

Observe
The observe features a large Forst Coat of Arms, a red deer antler. Above is rolling banner reading, "Urban District Forst Lausitz". The coat of arms is surrounded by illustration flowers, representing roses. The exception being 2 octagons with number "50"s, at the corners representing the note's 50 Pfennig value. To the lower right is an artist credit, "Heinz Scheistl".
Moving to the lower center is the text "Fifty Pfennig", reinforcing the note's value. To the right and left are text boxes. The left box notifies the holder the note loses value, "1 Month after public recall". While the right box features a issue date "1 July 1921". In addition to a city magistrate signature to notarize the note's use.
The footer lists the note's printer "Flemming Wiskott A.G." of Glogau (now Głogów, Poland).
