This Notgeld represented part of a 4-piece set, issued by the City of Hamm. Notably this set is made of color coded notes of 50 Pfennig value. Each note depicts the same scene, French refugees being received by the leaders of Hamm, in 1792. It should be noted, Hamm served as the seat of the French government in exile, after the French Revolution (1789-1799).
The notes' color coding varies from green, yellow, red, and dark green. To pay tribute to the note's art, it will be reviewed reverse first.
Reverse
The reverse center features an illustration of French aristocrats arriving in Hamm. They were granted refuge by the Prussian King Frederick William II (1744-1792). While the arriving aristocrats brought with them vast sums of wealth. They were met with ambience by the common citizens. As their arrival was was met by a sharp rise in goods, such as food.
The note's border features text and additional decorations. The lower text reads "French refugees ask for admission, December 1792". While the upper text reads, "Voucher of the City of Hamm (Westfalen). The illustration is flanked by 2 Coat of Arms, depicted in decorative frames. They represent the Coat of Arms of Hamm (Left) and Lower Saxony (Right).
The remaining corners simply list the note's 50 Pfennig value, in a split format. The left corners feature a number "50". While the right corners feature "Pf", the abbreviation for Pfennig.

Observe
The observe features a decorative twin-layer jagged design, on a "frayed" black underprint. It's text can be broken into 3 sections. The first lists the note's issuer "Hamm (Westfalen), flanked by number "50"s representing it's 50 Pfennig value. Followed by the same value represented in text form.
The second section is a notification to the note's bearer. It warns the note will lose its value "1 month", after being recalled by public announcement. This followed by the note's issue date (01 October 1921), by the City of Hamm (Westfalen).
The final section lists "The (City) Magistrates", it's text rest above the Hamm Coat of Arms. While the signatures of the "Lord Mayor" and "Mayor" are offset to the left corner.
