This notgeld is the 2nd denomination of a 3-piece set, issued by the municipality of Aggsbach Dorf. The set features the various landmarks that surround Aggsbach Dorf and the outlaying hamlets. As depicted in highly detailed hand illustrations.
Observe
The observe features a framed illustration of the "Karthause Aggsbach", also known as the Aggsbach Charterhouse. The Aggsbach Charterhouse was founded by Heidenreich von Maissau, in 1380. Later becoming a castle in 1782, during Emperor Joseph II (1741-1790). To the lower right, the note's artist is listed as Franz Weide, Melk. Melk being the city which the artist is from.
To the left, are additional illustrations and text. The lists the note as issued by the "municipality of Aggsbach Dorf in the Wachau". While the center text refers to the note as a voucher, valued at 20 Heller. Further below is the signature of the Burgermeister (mayor) of Aggsbach.
There are additional embellishments along the note's border. These include a wreathed number "20", referring to the note's 20 Heller value. The 2 fish flanking the wreath refer to the fish of the Danube River. Which formed the Wachau valley where Aggsbach Dorf is located. The grapes along the left side refer to Aggsbach Dorf's vinyards.
Reverse
The note's reverse is sparse and to the point. It features a series of "boxes", created by lines of dots. The first center box lists the note as issued by the municipality of Aggsbach Dorf. A pair of smaller boxes, each with a number "20" can seen along the sides.
Below is a larger box, with 2 sets of additional text. The first set declares the municipality of Aggsbach Dorf, as being responsible for redeeming the note. The second set declares the note as vaild until 31December 1920. Followed by a declaration that "Imitation will be punished".
